Our investment arm committed US$ 8.2 billion and mobilized an additional US$ 3.9 billion through syndications and structured finance for 299 investments in 69 developing countries. Our investments target commercially viable businesses that create jobs, reduce poverty, and serve as role models for good corporate practices. We partner with businesses committed to meeting international standards of environmental and social sustainability, as well as good governance.
IFC Advisory services operate in 84 countries. Our work with governments and the private sector helps create opportunity for local businesses to grow quickly, innovate, and raise standards. Our expertise, combined with our affiliation with the World Bank Group, enables us to share knowledge across industries and regions, and to extend our reach to where it is most urgently needed.
In the Mekong region covering Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam, IFC Advisory services are delivered in partnership with the European Union, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Our programs are conducive to the three governments’ poverty reduction strategies, the World Bank Group’s programs, and the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
