IFC is sponsoring the 11th annual Microfinance Centre Conference from May 29 to 31. This year, for the first time, the conference will be held in Mongolia, one of the world's most competitive and developed environments for microfinance.
The Microfinance Centre is a regional network of about 110 microfinance institutions from more than 20 countries in Eastern Europe and Asia. The event will bring together practitioners, donors, investors, experts, vendors, researchers, policymakers, the media, and other stakeholders to discuss trends that are helping shape the industry. Workshops will focus on technology, insurance, savings, governance, social performance, and client protection.
The conference will be hosted by XacBank, a successful microfinance institution and IFC partner. Both parties will share their microfinance expertise to help promote the industry in other developing countries.
