The IFC Advisory Services Program for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC Program) provides a wide variety of consulting and business services to support private sector development in the region.
The LAC Program addresses IFC's mission and strategy by offering various products and services through five business lines:
- Broadening Access to Finance (A2F): Working with financial institutions and regulators to increase access to finance for small and medium enterprises.
- Improving the Business Enabling Environment (BEE): Working with governments, civil society, and private firms to support the business-enabling environment, focusing on the regulation of business activities at the municipal level.
- Enhancing Local Benefits (ELB): Focused on enhancing the local benefits of IFC's large-scale investments, especially in extractive industries.
- Sustainable Value Chains (SVC): Working to enhance productivity and market access to SMEs by supporting high potential global manufacturing sustainable supply chains.
- Infrastructure (INF): Assisting governments in selecting and structuring offers that will attract private capital for infrastructure projects.
A multilateral initiative of IFC and donor countries (including Canada, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom), the LAC Program coordinates its work with other World Bank Group projects to reduce poverty and improve people’s lives.
The LAC Program has its hub office in Lima, Peru and 5 more offices in the region.
