IEG-IFC's work is based on two important pillars: accountability- assessing whether or not IFC achieves its agreed objectives for private sector development and learning- helping better IFC’s results and supporting continuous operational improvement by learning from experience and adopting best practices. Important to achieving both of these objective is interaction with staff and communication of the findings and recommendations drawn from IEG-IFC's studies. IEG-IFC’s recommendations and lessons translate into a variety of evaluation products, such as thematic, country or sector studies, Evaluation Briefs, and lessons.
