How did you collaborate with the World Bank and NGOs on this report?
IFC worked closely with World Bank staff, who provided valuable expertise and input at various stages of report preparation. We will continue to work with them to deliver the important advisory components of IFC’s strategy and to liaise with African governments and regulatory agencies.
IFC consulted with NGOs, especially local African NGOs working in the health care sector, and we received substantive input from them. Most were consulted for information gathering, to identify challenges or clarify potential investment opportunities. Our interactions with these groups were constructive. We also expect NGOs to be involved in the upcoming IFC stakeholder forums in Africa.
