IFC is working with Frankfurt School of Finance & Management to support the activities of the SECO IFC Ghana Primary Mortgage Market Initiative. Until August 2009, the team of experts from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management will in cooperation with IFC staff work to further develop the Ghanaian primary mortgage market.

The support program under the Ghana Primary Mortgage Market Initiative includes:

Capacity building support to participating mortgage lending institutions

Development of appraisal standards, methodology and ethics regime for appraisers

Development of a consumer housing finance awareness program

Support in improvement of the legal, tax and regulatory framework for mortgage finance
