"PARTICIPATING
IN THE SUSTAINABILITY LEARNING PROGRAM WAS A VALUABLE EXPERIENCE TO SEE
WHAT IFC'S STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES ARE ON SUSTAINABILITY. THIS WAS THE
FIRST TIME THAT I REALLY SAW WHAT AN IMPORTANT PART SUSTAINABILITY PLAYS
IN IFC'S CORPORATE STRATEGY AND HOW IT CAN SUPPORT MY COMPANY'S OWN GOALS."

Our workshops are designed to help regions and markets use
sustainability to expand and strengthen their financial institutions.
By focusing on key business drivers for sustainability, participants discover
opportunities to access new markets and broaden product offerings, while
learning the skills to integrate sustainable finance practices into their
strategy and operations.
Practical exercises and case studies are used to highlight specific ways
that IFC can build local capacity to identify social and environmental
risks and opportunities. By involving clients directly in the learning
process, we have been able to design innovative social and environmental
solutions and add value for clients, shareholders, and stakeholders in
the regions.
