Footprint Team
The Footprint Program draws on individual contributions of many IFC staff:
Footprint Advisory Committee
- Footprint Champions
- Technical Advisors
- Full-time Footprint Officer and part-time Coordinator
- Internal communications team/experts
- Volunteers for specific activities and events
Three key components of the Footprint Team are:
- the Footprint Advisory Committee
- the Network of Footprint Champions
- the Technical Advisors
The
Footprint Advisory Committee, a cross-departmental committee chaired by a Vice President, consists of 11 Senior Managers. This committee ensures there is a high-level focus on our footprint strategy, and promotes better staff awareness of the environmental and sustainability issues in our business. The Committee is responsible for reviewing our strategy on a quarterly basis, setting fiscal year targets, and monitoring the program's progress and continual improvement.
The
Footprint Champions are a global community representing 77 country offices and 44 headquarters departments. The Champions disseminate information to colleagues, propose and implement changes, share ideas, achievements, questions, and solutions, and demonstrate adoption of best practices at the individual level.
The Footprint Program relies on the technical expertise of 18
Technical Advisors from different departments within IFC as well as from relevant World Bank Group departments such as the Community Outreach Team and World Bank Greening program.
