Peru Biofuels Transportation and Processing Project
The Peru Biofuels Transportation and Processing project uses IFC/GEF funds to finance the installation and operation of equipment utilizing a new technology that consumes agricultural waste residues for energy generation. The project hopes to increase the overall production and use of the sugarcane biomass it will also replace fossil fuels used in the production and disposal of sugarcane. This will result in increased efficiency and a reduction in the carbon footprint of the sugarcane industry.
