Rong Wang Brief Dr. Rong Wang is an associate professor and head of the Department of Education Economics and Administration, Graduate School of Education, Peking University. Her research spans the role of education in labor markets, financing of basic education and higher education, educational policy towards poor and minority areas, community colleges, private education, and governance structure of schools and universities. In addition to her research, she spends a lot of time in rural and minority areas, piloting and observing different approaches to reform public education in disadvantaged areas. She is currently completing a book on compulsory education financing in China and is coordinating the writing of 2005 China Education and Human Resource Development Report. |
