PETER MOOCK Brief Between 1983 and 2003, Peter Moock was an Education Economist and Sector Manager in the World Bank and based in Washington, DC. Before joining the Bank, Mr. Moock was Professor of Economics and Education at Columbia University and, earlier, held research positions at the University of Nairobi and the University of Michigan. In his final assignment before his retirement from the Bank, Mr. Moock served as Lead Education Economist in the East Asia and Pacific Region. Since retiring in 2003, he has continued to work as a consultant in the region, for the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
