The World Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility Practice, located in the Private Sector Development Vice Presidency, advises developing country governments on public sector roles and policy instruments that can most usefully be deployed to encourage CSR, based on an understanding of business drivers. To support the CSR Practice in its technical assistance offered to governments, a CSR Diagnostic Framework and Appraisal Tool has been developed.
