Ukraine Mortgage Development Project
2007 – present
Supported with funds from the International Finance Corporation

The project’s goal is to increase liquidity in the Ukrainian residential mortgage market by helping introduce standard closing documentation for use by major market players, including an improved mortgage note, and to facilitate expansion of the secondary mortgage market. To reach this goal, the project will work closely with banks and other mortgage industry stakeholders. In addition, the project will provide trainings on the practical use of closing documentation. By increasing the liquidity in the Ukrainian market, more Ukrainian citizens will be able to obtain mortgages.

Ukraine Agri-Insurance Development Project
2007 - present
Supported with funds from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)

The project will facilitate the development of the agri-insurance sector in Ukraine by working with key regulatory, institutional and commercial partners. The project will help improve the regulatory environment for agri-insurance, develop the capacity of insurance companies and work directly with farmers in a pilot implementation program.

Vinnytsya Dairy Supply Chain Development Project

Supported with funds from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)

The project works with milk producers in the Vinnytsya region of Ukraine to strengthen the milk supply chain. The project together with its partner Loostdorf dairy (the leading producer of UHT milk in Ukraine) and local authorities and financial institutions help large and household farms improve farm management, access to credit, and increase production of high quality milk.

Vinnytsya Fruit Supply Chain Development Project

Supported with funds from the Government of Austria

The project helps strengthen the fruit supply chain in central Ukraine, by working closely with fruit farms to build sustainable linkages with large fruit processors in the region. The project assists local farms to improve farm management and efficiencies, develop good business practices and access finance to meet the increased demands for high-quality fruit in the region.

The project has partnered with Sandora Juice Company, Ukraine’s number one producer of fruit juices and nectars, to help strengthen the vegetable supply chain in the Mykolayiv region of southern Ukraine. The project works closely with vegetable suppliers to Sandora, to help increase their operational efficiency and product quality. Improvements made at these farms, consequently, provide a demonstration effect for the sector to strengthen the overall supply chain.

Supported with funds from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)

The project works to create a favorable environment for the development of small and medium businesses and to improve the overall investment climate in Ukraine.

The main objectives of the project are: to streamline and simplify business inspections and business permits for SMEs; simplify technical regulations (standardization, certification), monitor the business environment through representative surveys; conduct outreach, information and advocacy work to ensure adoption and implementation of reforms.
