Using Results to Improve Performance

IFC analyzes results from our Development Outcome Tracking System (DOTS) and the in-depth evaluations of IFC’s Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) seeking lessons on how to enhance IFC’s development effectiveness. These lessons are discussed at annual departmental strategy meetings and feed into IFC’s corporate strategy. Informed by results, and other factors such as a sector’s growth prospects, market trends, and demand for our services, we adapt our activities. For example, based on the high potential for poverty reduction, IFC has made agribusiness a strategic sector this year.
