IFC has supported the development of private universities in developing economies. Demand for improved capacity in both campus-based developments as well as for distance learning and e-learning initiatives has increased in recent years. We will assist private investors and sponsors to articulate and implement sound strategies that will facilitate the development of quality tertiary institutions in developing economies. IFC is interested in supporting private sector development of post-secondary vocational and technical training in developing countries. There is a growing demand for improved access to technical and vocational training opportunities that will support skills development across industry sectors and in the workforce. We can partner with private investors and provide advice or technical assistance where appropriate, to facilitate the establishment of sustainable education business projects, where the outputs are for the public good and produce fair returns to investors. |
