Oguz Engiz
Hospital Project Coordinator, MESA Group, Ankara, Turkey





Oguz Engiz studied Economics at Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey and received an MBA degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, MA. He worked at World Bank financed Health Reform Projects in Ankara, Turkey between 1992 and 1996 and later moved on to the private sector and worked at investor owned hospitals as an executive. While working as a professional, he helped Hacettepe University start Healthcare Management Programs for working professionals. Took role in the establishment of Turkish Healthcare Organizations Association and still serves on its Board.

Engiz writes at major healthcare related periodicals in Turkey and serves at editorial boards. He is a member of the American Academy of Medical Administrators and the American College of Healthcare Executives- Turkish Executive Network. Presently, Engiz works at MESA Hospital in Ankara, Turkey as the managing director. MESA Hospital is the first private healthcare investment financed by IFC in Turkey. The archtitectural design of the hospital has been awarded by the ‘American Institute of Architects’ and the ‘Modern Healthcare’ journal in 1999.
