Yale Governance Forum 2008, New Haven, Connecticut, USA: June 9-10, 2008

Partnered with Aspen Institute BSP Program, Global Corporate Governance Forum, International Corporate Governance Network, National Association of Corporate Directors, and Open Compliance and Ethics Group, the annual Yale Governance Forum was held at Yale in New Haven, on June 9-10, 2008.

This year's forum, sponsored by Deloitte, consisted of four plenary sessions, eight topic-specific "focused sessions," and a pre-forum workshop. The event aimed to examine changes in the global capital markets and to provide opportunities to discuss key topics of international corporate governance.  The goal was not to merely engage in general discussion, but to allow participants to meet and interact with fellow practitioners and leaders to deeply explore key issues with the aim of affecting both policy and action.  Panels ranged from an exploration of new technologies for boards and shareowners to the state of the capital market.
