Raising Awareness & Building Consensus

The Global Corporate Governance Forum facilitates networks of corporate governance leaders in developing and developed countries. As part of this initiative, the Forum supports public-private discussions to identify priorities and marshal support for corporate governance reform. This dialogue has led to a series of corporate governance papers. In addition, the Forum supports the World Bank-OECD Regional Corporate Governance Roundtables and other corporate governance conferences and forums; some of these include:

The Forum provides support for the development of international corporate governance guidelines and standards and strives to ensure proper consultation with developing countries. In November 2004, the Form organized jointly with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) a broad consultation meeting with developing countries which led to the adoption of the Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises.
