International Faculty Workshop

The Global Corporate Governance Forum (the Forum) held an International Faculty Workshop to launch the Corporate Governance Board Leadership Training Resources, in Washington D.C. March 31- April 4th, 2008.

The Forum developed the Corporate Governance Board Leadership Training Resources (Resources Kit) to serve the growing need for curriculum and teaching methodologies relevant to corporate governance training provided by:

• Institutes of Directors
• Corporate Governance Associations
• Professional bodies
• Universities and other educational establishments

The Forum invited trainers from different regions to participate in a week-long International Faculty Workshop. The goal of this highly interactive workshop was to help participants become familiar with the Kit, learn how to use these resources, and help them prepare other trainers.

The Forum plans to support additional regional faculty workshops involving leading corporate governance institutions. Upon successfully completing the International Faculty Workshop, participants will be invited to take mentoring roles in building local capacity for corporate governance leadership.
