Guidance for Supervisory Board of Banks

On September 20, 2006 the Ukraine Banking Corporate Governance Project of IFC has officially presented the "Guidance for Members of Supervisory Boards of Banks" to members of supervisory boards of the banks. The presentation included the speeches of the Project Manager Mr. Desmond O’Maonaigh, the President of Ukrainian Banking Association Mr. Olexander Suhonyako, the Head of Global Corporate Governance Forum Mr. Philip Armstrong and banking advisor of the Project Ms. Anna Lysenko. The main aim of the Guidance was to help supervisory boards’ members to improve the practice of corporate governance as recommended by international best practice. The event gathered over 50 top bankers of Ukrainian commercial banks.
