What does the Forum do?
The Forum promotes global, regional, and local initiatives that improve corporate governance policy standards and practices in developing countries and countries with transition economies. Through its activities, the Forum aims to promote the private sector as an engine of growth, reduce the vulnerability of developing and transition economies to financial crises, and provide incentives to corporations to invest and perform efficiently in a socially responsible manner.
The Forum focuses on four areas:
raising awareness and building consensus
sponsoring research relevant to the issues and challenges facing countries undertaking corporate government reforms
disseminating best practices
funding technical assistance and capacity-building through the Forum's toolkits and best practice guides.
