Third Annual International Corporate Governance Conference

Third Annual International Corporate Governance Conference was held on June 15, 2009 in Cairo by Egyptian Institute of Directors under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin Minister of Investment - Egpyt.

The conference aimed at strengthening the audit tools (Internal, External and Audit Committee) within corporate governance best practices and the business sustainability. The conference shed the light on the current global financial crisis and the role that the audit function could have played to prevent it.

Philip Armstrong,the head of Global Corporate Governance Forum, gave a speech on Financial Crisis, Reasons and Lessons Learned.
