Treasury and Risk Management Officers


Treasury and risk management officers implement IFC's market borrowing plan and manage some $13 billion in liquid assets. They manage the risks in the Corporation's business portfolio, develop and monitor the portfolio, and are responsible for structuring and marketing IFC's derivative-based risk management and loan products for our clients. Treasury and risk management officers' tasks include:



  • Management of IFC's liquid assets


  • Implementation of market borrowing programs


  • Structuring of derivative-based products


  • Execution of swap transactions to hedge IFC's exposure


  • Analysis and management of the currency and interest rate risks on IFC's balance sheet


  • Review and formulation of pricing and product policies and guidelines
