The Human Resources Department has a strategic foundation that is directly linked to IFC s business strategy. Committed to building an organizational culture that fosters high-performance, meritocracy and accountability, the HR Department is currently seeking a Learning and Development Program Manager to contribute towards; ensuring that the learning and development work program supports IFC s strategic business needs, helping to create a new knowledge management vision/strategy for a decentralized organization, fostering a cultural change to one that effectively manages knowledge as a global asset, and ongoing quality assurance. S/he will report to the Manager for HR Programs. | Duties and Accountabilities: | | Scope of work will include:
Leading overall corporate learning and development in a way that supports IFC s strategic business needs and the development needs of a decentralized workforce. Steps include;
Coordinate the design, development and implementation of learning and leadership development programs
Coordinate with counterparts in investment, advisory services and various internal clients and constituencies to help nurture IFC s competitive advantage and develop necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills in support of the business;
Liaise with external organizations to benchmark on learning and development practices and help IFC leverage the very latest thought leadership;
Participating in assessing the skill gaps resulting from updated competencies and helping to update current training/leadership programs and to create new learning programs;
Participating in creating, delivering and evaluating of learning and development programs for staff;
Help address inconsistencies in IFC training and development policies, guidelines, practices and WBG rules;
Lead and contribute towards the Career Development Framework and Staff Development projects;
Lead all outreach, communication and engagement with senior management, directors, managers and staff; and
Collaborate with ongoing work on talent and career management, performance management, and leadership development programs. | Selection Criteria: | | Masters or advanced degree in economics, or other social science disciplines or MBA.
At least 15 years relevant work experience in private sector and/or international organizations is A MUST.
Ability to transform strategic agenda into initiatives with measurable results.
Experience in designing and implementing cross-cutting and corporate-level training and development projects. Strong organizational skills including the ability to bring together diverse groups for a single purpose.
Strong analytical skills and ability to research and identify substantive issues and propose practical solutions.
Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead, innovate and be solution-oriented. Good systems thinking, and the ability to diagnose problems, identify areas of need, and generate solutions.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with multicultural sensitivities and tact in dealing with Bank staff at all levels. Ability to build effective work relations with clients, colleagues, and business leaders.
Ability to work both independently and in leading teams across unit boundaries.
Knowledge of and experience with external best practices in areas of learning, leadership and knowledge management, including access to a network of external learning and development practitioners.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with diverse audiences. |
