Entry-level investment officers at IFC are recruited through the Global Transaction Team (GTT) Program once a year. The GTT Program is a two-year program based in Washington, DC typically consisting of two or three assignments of between nine and twelve months each. IFC strongly encourages one rotation in one of our field offices. At the end of the two-year rotational period, candidates are placed in departments permanently.
IFC also recruits investment officers directly into its country and regional offices on a year-round basis. Such positions are advertised on our website under Current Opportunities. Interested and qualified applicants to the GTT Program may also be referred for these positions.
IFC’s new investment officers are recruited globally through a rigorous and competitive process. We are looking for highly qualified and motivated professionals skilled in international corporate and/or project finance. Leadership potential is an important aspect of the IFC’s recruitment and development programs. All entry-level investment officers receive formal training, on-the-job training, a mentoring and buddy program, and numerous other opportunities for professional and personal development.
