GBSN sponsored the "Second Workshop on Teaching the Practice of Management for Deans of African Business Schools" at the Lagos Business School (LBS) in Nigeria. Attended by over 20 business school deans from around Africa, the meeting provided a platform for deans of African business schools to share ideas about improving the quality of teaching in their schools through participant-centered and practice-based teaching methods.
The workshop, held at the Lekki campus of Pan-African University, was designed and jointly organized by Lagos Business School and South Africa's Gordon Institute of Business Science. The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, (IIMA) was invited to discuss its experience in developing a global MBA program in an emerging economy and in writing and using cases extensively for high quality management education.
