  1. Commitments are composed of funds to be provided by IFC for its own account, funds to be provided by participants through the purchase of an interest in IFC's investment, and funds to be provided by other financial institutions in associations with IFC, where IFC has rendered material assistance in mobilizing these funds. Cumulative commitments are composed of disbursed and undisbursed balances. The undisbursed portion is revalued at current exchange rates, while the disbursed portion represents the cost of commitments at the time of disbursement. From FY04 forward, IFC includes guarantee and risk management products in commitments.

  2. Out of total amount, $9.8 million ($8.4 million for IFC and $1.4 million for participant's account) represents investments made at a time when the authorities on Taiwan represented China in IFC's membership.

  3. Total cumulative gross commitments are in 141 countries (excluding regional projects and those in West Bank & Gaza or Taiwan, Province of China).
