Tools

IFC Against AIDS has developed some tools from the field of experiences and practices in HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, and care to guide companies through every step in the process of designing and implementing a program for their workforce. By extending HIV/AIDS programs to their communities, companies can also play an important role in fighting HIV/AIDS along with "traditional" actors such as public health officials and NGOs.

The process can be ensured through a multi step approach, which is outlined in the following table.

The IFC Against AIDS HIV/AIDS Action Plan Roadmap [pdf] is an essential tool that includes all the possible elements of a program centered on the workplace, although not all of them will apply to every company. This tool, presented as a table, provides an evaluation column to allow the company to tally its efforts in face of HIV/AIDS, and can therefore be used to track implementation or to set objectives and incentives for completion.
