IFC Private Enterprise Partnership for Africa is the primary vehicle for delivering IFC advisory services in Africa. Established in 2005, IFC PEP Africa works in partnership with multilateral agencies, governments, and the private sector to deliver programs and advisory services that improve the investment climate, mobilize private sector investment, and enhance the competitiveness of private enterprises in Africa
Since 2005, IFC PEP Africa and its partners have provided more than $130 million in program support towards activities that promote private sector development in Africa.
IFC PEP Africa currently manages more than 60 programs in over 30 countries across Sub Saharan Africa. The bulk of these programs are delivered at country level, with a few regional initiatives such as the Post Conflict Initiative and IFC Against AIDS, that are managed out of the regional hub in Johannesburg, South Africa
Across Africa, IFC PEP Africa advisory services programs continue to make a difference, helping improve the climate for private investment, working with governments to create opportunities for private sector participation in the delivery and management of social infrastructure, and providing direct support to small and medium enterprises through various tools.
