Leasing in Azerbaijan

As of 2007 all leasing companies and leasing departments of banks continued to increase their leasing portfolio and hire a new qualified staff at the same time introducing modern and high quality products to the local market. On the other hand a number of less active lessors have suspended their activity in the market that signals growing competition.

At the turn of 2007 consolidated outstanding portfolio of the leasing sector includes 1,659 deals. The number of lease contracts signed in 2007 is more than doubled compared to 2006 and it is more than 22 times to the number of deals signed in 2003.
