The IFC Georgia Investment Climate Project, in partnership with BP and its co-venturers in oil and gas projects and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), aims to improve the business enabling environment in Georgia by reducing administrative barriers to running and operating small and medium enterprises.
The project focuses on streamlining the process of inspections and issuance of business permits /licences. It also works on introducing elements of the regulatory impact assessment (RIA), a strategic tool for regulatory management and reform that will enable the government to systematically assess the negative and positive impacts of proposed and existing regulations.
